Lloyd's Register is an international organization operating independently from governments and any other body. As a non-profit-distributing organization, Lloyd's Register is financially independent, using income from fees to:
- improve and develop new technical services to match our clients’ requirements
- assist the funding of selected internal and external research projects
- train and develop personnel
